I’ve been training for years and lately I just feel worn out I love lifting but I’m dragging myself to the gym lately Anyone else been through this What helped you bounce back

Yeah been there I usually take a deload week or even a full week off Every time I come back I feel way more fresh and motivated

Sometimes burnout just means you need a change I switch up my routine different exercises rep ranges or even training time Keeps things interesting

I stopped beating myself up for not being 100% every day Some sessions are just about showing up and that’s fine

When I start feeling drained I focus more on recovery more sleep better food and maybe some mobility work instead of heavy lifting

Honestly I just remind myself why I started Looking back at old pics or progress videos usually helps me get that spark back

I take a step back and do something fun hike play basketball anything active but not training It gives my brain a break from the grind

For me burnout usually hits when life stress adds up I try to balance things better less caffeine more sleep and no pressure to hit PRs

I talk with my gym buddies about it Turns out almost everyone goes through those phases Just knowing it’s normal helps me keep going
