I’m trying to stay consistent with food, but I really don’t want to spend my whole Sunday cooking. Curious what “lazy” meal prep setups you guys are using that still keep calories and protein on point.

Rotisserie chicken from Costco. Cheap, already cooked, and you can stretch it for days. Hard to beat.

I stopped doing “full meal prep” and just prep proteins. Grill or air-fry a bunch of chicken or ground beef, then mix with rice packets or frozen veggies during the week.

Honestly, frozen foods saved me. Frozen veggies, frozen rice, even frozen cooked meats. Takes like 5 minutes to throw together and macros are easy to track.

Egg whites + microwave oats = zero effort breakfast. Been my weekday go-to for years.

Air fryer changed everything. Toss in chicken, fish or potatoes, walk away, come back when it beeps. Way less mental effort than stovetop cooking.

I also rely on “repeat meals.” Same breakfast, same lunch all week. Not exciting, but it saves time and decision fatigue, which is what usually knocks me off plan.

Protein shakes count when life’s busy. Not every meal has to be Instagram-worthy.

Grocery store meal kits or pre-cooked meats get a bad rep, but they’re still better than takeout. I’d rather pay a little more than fall off completely.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Sounds like simplifying instead of “perfect prep” is the move protein-first, air fryer, frozen stuff and less variety. Appreciate all the ideas, definitely making this feel more doable.
