Feels like people are pushing volume higher than ever but recovery habits haven’t caught up Are most lifters actually overtraining or just not sleeping/eating enough to support it

I think most people aren’t truly overtraining they’re just under-recovering Bad sleep and inconsistent eating catches up fast when volume goes up

I used to think I was overtraining but once I fixed my sleep actually getting 7–8 hours my performance went up even with the same workload

A lot of guys blame overtraining but they’re doing 5–6 hours of sleep and eating like 2 meals a day That’s the real issue most of the time

I think true overtraining is rare for natural lifters Most people just hit a wall because recovery isn’t dialed in

For me it was food Once I started eating enough protein and calories I could handle way more volume than I thought

Social media definitely pushes crazy volume routines but doesn’t talk enough about recovery side People copy workouts but not the lifestyle

I actually reduced volume slightly and focused more on quality recovery and my progress improved So I think it’s both depending on the person

Stress outside the gym matters too Work lack of sleep all that adds up It’s not just about what you do in training

I feel like most people don’t track recovery at all They just train harder when progress stalls instead of fixing basics first
