Your macro targets are working if your body weight, measurements, strength, energy and overall progress are moving toward your goal consistently. Minor daily changes are normal so focus on trends over several weeks rather than individual days.

If my strength is improving and my weight is moving as planned I know the macros are working

If recovery feels good and training is consistent I usually stay with the same targets

For cutting I look for a steady downward trend without losing too much gym performance

I track measurements along with weight because the scale does not tell everything

Better workouts and stable energy usually mean my current macros are doing their job
