How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I tend to get bored after 6–8 weeks and change things up But I read that sticking to the same lifts longer gives better progress How long do you usually keep the same program
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I usually run a program for 10–12 weeks before changing anything That’s about how long it takes for me to see real progress before things stall

Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I stick with the same routine until the lifts stop moving for 2–3 weeks Sometimes that’s 6 weeks sometimes it’s 16
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I used to switch all the time but now I just swap out one or two exercises when I get bored instead of changing the whole plan
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
For me if I’m still getting stronger I don’t touch the routine No reason to mess with what’s working
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
About every 8 weeks I rotate rep ranges like going from 12s to 8s but I keep most of the main lifts the same
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I try to keep the same program for at least 12 weeks Every time I changed too fast my progress slowed down
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I go by feel If my joints start hurting or my motivation drops I take that as a sign to change up the routine
Re: How Often Do You Switch Your Routine
I only switch when I plateau As long as there’s progress I ride the program as long as I can
