Protein Intake Confusion Are Beginners Overdoing It in 2025
I hear everything from 0.7g per lb to 1.5g per lb For someone just starting is more really better or is consistency more important than chasing extreme numbers

Most beginners are overthinking it Hitting protein consistently every day mattered way more for me than exact numbers

I tried super high protein at first and it didn’t change much Once I hit around 0.7–0.8g per lb regularly results were fine

Consistency beats extremes Missing protein some days and overdoing it others didn’t help me at all

Eating enough calories overall mattered more than pushing protein super high When calories were too low progress stalled

High protein won’t fix bad training or poor sleep I learned that the hard way

For beginners simple rules work best Eat protein at each meal and don’t stress the math too much

Once I stopped chasing exact grams and focused on normal meals with protein it became easier to stay consistent
