How Do You Keep Meal Prep from Drying Out?
How Do You Keep Meal Prep from Drying Out?
My chicken and beef always turn into shoe leather by day 3. Any tricks to keep meals juicy through the week?
Re: How Do You Keep Meal Prep from Drying Out?
Undercook it slightly when you prep. By the time you reheat, it finishes cooking instead of drying out.

Slow cooker or Instant Pot changed everything for me. Chicken stays juicy all week and reheats way better.

Add a little broth when reheating. Sounds basic, but it brings dry meals back to life.

Never thought about undercooking on prep day. I’ve definitely been nuking everything too long.

Marinades matter more than people think. Even simple olive oil + spices helps retain moisture.

I switch proteins mid-week. Fish or ground turkey later so I’m not reheating the same chicken 5 days straight.

Vacuum sealing meals helps a lot if you’re prepping in bulk. Way less moisture loss in the fridge.

Broth and marinades sound like easy fixes. Might also stop reheating on full blast like a caveman.

Air fryer reheats are a trap. Microwave with a cover or pan + lid keeps moisture in.
