Rest Days Do You Really Need Them When Starting Out?
Rest Days Do You Really Need Them When Starting Out?
When you’re new to lifting, it’s tempting to train every day. But is taking 1–2 rest days a week better for progress? What worked for you guys?

Bro when you’re new, you think more gym = more gains. I learned quick that 2 rest days a week actually helped me grow faster.

If you’re sore all the time and dragging into workouts, that’s your body telling you to chill. Recovery is part of the grind.

I started with a 3-day full body split. Rest day between each session. Best move I made as a beginner.

Beginners grow from almost anything, but they also burn out fast. Rest keeps you consistent long term.

I tried 6 days right away and ended up with elbow pain and zero motivation. Switched to 4 days and progress actually improved.

Sleep + food + rest days = gains. People overcomplicate it but that’s really the formula.

Train hard, rest smart. You’re building a physique, not proving you can survive in the gym 7 days a week. Consistency wins every time.
