Greens Powders Worth It or Just Expensive Marketing

Post by Stephen€^0 »

I keep seeing people swear by greens powders for gut health and energy but $60+ a tub is wild Do these actually do anything if you already eat veggies

I buy a basic greens powder when I travel and know I’ll skip veggies but if I’m eating 6+ servings of fruit/veg per day I don’t think it adds much extra

The science behind them is extremely weak One study showed a slight increase in energy but nothing major

I’d rather buy actual vegetables honestly A big tub for $60+ could buy a bunch of broccoli and spinach for the week

If your diet sucks and you literally can’t eat enough greens then maybe a powder is convenient But if you already eat good veggies it’s mostly luxury

I tried one for 30 days and felt no noticeable difference in recovery or gut health It may help micronutrients a bit but I wouldn’t count on major effects

The risk is real too some greens powders had issues with contamination or heavy metals You must pick ones that are third party tested

I treat it like an insurance policy I keep a greens powder on hand if I’m on a low veggie week but not everyday The whole food version still comes first

For bodybuilders I think the priority should be protein calories and training Greens powder can fill tiny gaps but replacing real veggies with it That’s a mistake
