I usually leave 1–2 reps in reserve on most sets Recovery is way better that way

I go to failure only on the last set or on isolation exercises

Training to failure all the time burned me out fast Backing off helped progress

RIR made me more consistent I stopped guessing intensity and my lifts improved

Once I focused on recovery instead of just grinding sets gains picked up

Failure has its place but it’s not needed on every workout

Leaving reps in reserve saved my joints and kept me training longer
