Creatine is the only one I’d say is non-negotiable. Cheap, proven, no-brainer.

Basics aren’t basic when you actually push them hard. Controlled reps, progressive overload, good form that’s the real advanced stuff most people skip.

Some people just retain water easily in general. They blame creatine instead of carbs, stress, sleep or hormones.
